How to: Send a Slack channel message when a lead is Won

Typically when a lead is converted and marked as "Won" in noCRM, you might want to communicate the win with teams across different departments so that each can manage their processes. For example, you might want to align your sales and accounting by informing the accounting team of this new customer or get your customer success team to schedule an onboarding call with them to lower churn. Either way, it's best to automate this workflow so that the sales team can just focus on conversion, and the rest will be handled automatically by Integromat.

To get started, you would need to have an account with Slack, Integromat, and noCRM.

Create your workflow

Your workflow consists of a trigger that sets off the action(s) you want. In this case, every time your sales rep wins a lead in noCRM, it will trigger Integromat to send a customized message to a specific channel in Slack.

Set up your Trigger

Sign into your Integromat account and create a new scenario in the Scenarios section

  • Select the noCRM.io app as the first module and choose the trigger "Watch Lead Status Changed"
  • Click on the Add button next to the 'Connections' field:

  1. In the Connection name field, enter a name for the connection.
  2. In the Subdomain field, enter your account domain name. For example, if your account's URL address is https://AccountName.nocrm.io/ then your subdomain is 'AccountName'.
  3. Retrieve your API Key: go to your Admin Panel > Integrations > API > API Keys > create a new key and copy it and click continue.

Set up your Action

  • Select Slack as your second module and pick the action "Create a Message"
  • Click on the Add button next to the 'Connections' field:
  1. Select connection type: Slack (user) or Slack (bot). In this example, we’ll select Slack (bot).
  2. Name the connection.

You’ll then be redirected to a new pop-up to sign into your Slack account and grant access to Integromat.

  • Once connected, manually enter the channel name/ID you want to send the message to or select one from the provided dropdown list.
  • Next up, create the message you want to send. You can use the data retrieved from the first module to include information such as the owner of the lead, lead ID, lead email address, and so on. (See image below as an example)


Set up your Filter

Click on the three dots between the two modules created and select “Set up a filter

Fill in the condition field with the noCRM “Status” taken from the noCRM.io module. For the value field under the text operator “Equal to”, type in “Won”.

Your scenario is now ready to run!
